FAQ

  • the car being damaged while parked

If any damage is caused to the car during the car rental term, the repair costs shall be charged to the Hirer, up to the deductible part applicable under the comprehensive car insurance (CASCO). This shall also apply to damages caused by unknown perpetrators (e.g. a damage caused to a parked car).

  • if a tire blowout occurs, who pays for the tire replacement/repair costs

All of our cars are handed over with checked, and good quality tires. We have an extra insurance policy available for such cases, but if you opt not to go for it and you suffer a tire blowout during the rental term, you will be responsible to pay for the repair costs, or the tire replacement costs if needed.

  • settlement for minor scratches/damages

If the damage is within the applicable deductible, the financial settlement will be made subsequently, based on the quote received for the required repair works. In such case, the repair costs and a downtime fee for the time of repair might be deducted from the Security Deposit paid.

  • full /empty tank

We have a so called “empty tank” policy. This means that the Car Rental Company will record the fuel level in the tank upon the car being handed over, and the Hirer shall be obliged to return the car at the end of the rental period with the same fuel level. If there is any excess fuel in the tank when the car is returned, the Car Rental Company shall not be obliged to provide a refund for the excess fuel.

  • windscreen washer fluid top up, refuelling

The Car Rental Company normally hands over the cars with the windscreen washer fluid being completely topped up. The Hirer shall be liable to top up the windscreen washer fluid, and the fuel used during the car rental term.

  • what to do when an incident occurs

When any incident occurs, the Hirer shall be obliged to promptly notify the Car Rental Company. The Car Rental Company will take all other necessary measures. If the Hirer fails to notify the Car Rental Company and starts taking measures himself/herself, this might lead to the Hirer losing the entire amount of Security Deposit paid

  • repair, servicing

The Hirer shall not be entitled to carry out or have any third party to carry out any repair or servicing tasks on the car. If the Hirer does so nonetheless, this might lead to the Hirer losing the entire amount of Security Deposit paid.

  • technical assistance services

The Car Rental Company has a 24/7 hotline for the Hirers to report any technical malfunction occurring to the car.

The Car Rental Company undertakes to promptly repair all problems, within 24 hours, and will provide a replacement car, when needed.

  • infringements, penalties

If any official authority contact is made to the Car Rental Company, the Car Rental Company will send a copy of the relevant Rental Agreement to the official authorities, and thereafter the authority will enforce the claim towards the Hirer directly.
